Great ideas, Bill. I think you're right -- we are all hungry for face-to-face interaction with people whose names we know (or can learn). This is the greatest possible contrast to the "personalized" digital crap that bombards us the rest of our lives.

You know, when I renewed my membership, I dropped all but one SIG because they were getting too expensive for me. If other people made a similar decision, I'd say that's a bit counterproductive for the SIGs . . . .
