Wait a minute, I like candles! And it's a canard that they're
napalm-scented. ;-)

Ooh, too funny and almost true. 

Reminds me of an article I read a while ago by Roger Donway
(http://tinyurl.com/2xcegf) praising Kipling's "If" for its technical
and structural excellence as well as its message. It compared "If"
favorably to "Max Ehrmann's dreadful 'Desiderata,' which was wildly
popular in the late sixties (a telling cultural datum)."
