Cross-posting vs. multi-posting

Except when it's not. :)

I've had the experience of multi-posting to a few lists and getting
flak from people who are on 2 or 3 of the lists, and who therefore 
received my message multiple times. Their suggestion? "Why don't you
cross-post instead? That's much better netiquette."

I guess you can't keep everyone happy...
