Hi Michael:

The book "Introduction to DITA: A User Guide..." by Jennifer Linton and
Kylene Bruski was recommended to me. I own the book but I have not read it
yet. Here are three other avenues you could take to learn about DITA.

1. Companies that sell products for use with DITA often have great webinars
to get you started, like:

Arbortext

m/appserver/mkt/products/home.jsp?k=3591

XMetaL (Just Systems)

I try to get on their mailing list so I get notified when they are having
webinars.

2. Industry leaders have training

Joanne Hackos

Anne Rockely

3. Attend a conference such as:

Content, Convergence and Integration (HYPERLINK

08"http://www.confabb.com/conferences/23666-content-convergence-integration-
2008)

DocTrain

STC Summit

There are lots to choose from in each of these categories.
