active vs. passive voice

Front-to-back on Mondays and Tuesdays. Back-to-front on Wednesdays and
Thursdays.

On weekends, it magically appears (unless you are really quick and can
see it expanding in all directions at once from a dimensionless point).

That leaves Fridays.
