STC is broken

In my industry (medical devices), people ask for "documentation" all the
time, and that's exactly what they mean.

The job title is less important than the end product. Your documentation
can be created by an Operations Communicator, a Business Writer, or a
Technical Facilitator - as long as it's good documentation.
