Dynamic publishing and single sourcing

Hi all,

Has anyone heard of, researched in depth or started using dynamic
publishing?

It's also labeled a subset of "dynamic page publishing" in Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynamic_page_publishing

It seems to share many, if not all, features with single sourcing.
Wikipedia:

An article that I can't access because of my company's firewall:
http://www.sixapart.com/blog/2004/11/php-dynamic-publishing-develop.html

Quark DPS shows its process visually on its website. It involves single
sourcing and looks very similar to AuthorIt and other HATs at first blush.

Is Quark's product info just hype, a natural evolutionary extension of HAT
and DITA structure and principles, HAT-like software, a new and better
development? Could this work as an overall solution to virtually all of an
organization's publishing and documentation needs?

Quark's website explanation:

Another site that offers dynamic publishing and reuse/repurposing of
content:
