Alternative to floppy

I purchased a (very inexpensive < $30) portable USB floppy drive for
this purpose. Though I have been laughed at from time to time ("you mean
they still MAKE floppy disks!?") it's more often been a lifesaver. My
problem now is that since a lot of my work is image intensive, some just
won't fit on a floppy even once zipped. Burnable CDs are the only option
I know of in this case, since I'm usually looking for something
inexpensive I can turn over to a client without cringing.
