Tech Writer Lawsuit; STC position? (take II)

That's been my question to the STC, and I've never gotten a satisfactory (to me) answer. I ended up joining the IEEE because they offered more for the membership dollar than the STC, my boss knows what the IEEE is as do most potential employers in my field.
