1. Learn everyone's name as fast as you can (even
keep notes if necessary, and review them) but
remind them of yours before they can get
uncomfortable about forgetting it.

2. Read everything you can find about the projects
in specific and the company in general.

3. Decorate your workplace with one or two simple
items that send a message about your interests.
But don't overdo the decoration or you'll look
too possessive about your space.

4. Don't limit your contacts to the easily
approachable workers.

5. Be there. Whenever you can, arrive early
and stay late.
