When using trademarked [or registered names] in *any* document -- print,
online or otherwise -- you need only show the (tm) or ® symbols once,
usually the first occurence, or the first occurence in a chapter, section or
page, and need not repeat the symbol thereafter. Standard boilerplate
typically explains this convention, noting that such-and-such are
trademarked [or registered trademark names] and appear without the symbols
throughout the document.
Here's the boilerplate we use:
Trademarked names are used throughout this manual. Rather than place a
symbol at each occurrence, trademarked names are designated with initial
capitalization. Inclusion or exclusion is not a judgment on the validity or
legal status of the term.
