As far as I'm concerned, the best way to get through presentations is to knit
(yes, knitting yarn, and I'm encouraging the men as well). Knitting frees up
your mind so that you can actually listen to the speaker because it gives your
fingers something to do and the repetitive motion of your fingers relaxes your
body. If the presentation turns out to be tedious or otherwise not as good as
expected, you at least have accomplished progress on your knitting project, so
the time was not a total loss.
