Get rid of the copy you "borrowed" from a friend. If the friend still has
FrameMaker installed on his/her computer, you are BOTH guilty of software
piracy. Not a pretty scenario, highly unethical, and potentially VERY
expensive.
Instead, while you are still a student, buy the educational version of
FrameMaker. Do it now, while the discounts still apply. It's about a third
of the price of the full version, and you can do it honestly. While it's not
a FULL version of Frame, it's certainly enough for you to learn on and to
produce very excellent documents. You can even borrow templates from your
friend (guilt-free).
This may seem like a harsh interpretation, but since you will soon be making
your living in the software industry, you will come to understand that
people who "borrow" software cut into your livelihood. Besides, if you do
buy your own version, you get your own copy of the FrameMaker manual, which
should at least get you started.
