Good morning,

I'm assembling a small Web site that will serve as my "curriculum vitae"
site. It will contain both a technical and an arts resume (I do both
creative and technical writing), writing samples, graphic design samples,
etc.

I'm also an amateur photographer, and am including a page of my photos
(work-related and otherwise). Anyhow, that got me thinking as whether I
should put a photo of myself on the site (on the home page or elsewhere). As
we know, there's a stigma about submitting resumes with photos in North
America. So, I wondered how potential employers would react to this. Would
they associate it in the same way? Would it be beneficial or detrimental or
have no effect at all?

While I'm not hideously ugly, I'm no, um, Ben Affleck either. The photo I'm
thinking of using is pretty 8x10ish. That is to say, it's rather like a
professional head shot, like an actor's 8" x 10" photo. Anyhow, this all
feels a tad self-involved, but let's say I'm soliciting opinions "for the
good of the group." Thanks. DB.
