RE: FrameMaker used with other HATs than WWP...
The latest version of ForeHelp can import MIF files and seems to have some===================================================
useful options for controlling how it's brought in. Note that it cannot
import TIF images, vector images, or any images other than the types is
already knows about (BMP, GIF, JPG and maybe PNG).
On the other hand, if you also have WWP, you could use WWP to create the
help file, and then open it in ForeHelp for further tuning/development.
The alternative to WWP is MIF2GO from Omni systems (www.omsys.com).
At $295 it's much cheaper and (many people think) better than WWP.
It takes MIF as input and produces XHML, HTML, XML, MS HTML, help, JavaHelp,
and winhelp without the need for a HAT. It also produces RTF from MIF, including
the graphics, and is far superior to the Frame's built-in RTF converter.
