Capitalization of system features that are not interface terms?

Rebecca wonders: <<I hate to capitalize unless there's a reason to do so. I
am looking for a guideline and source for whether or not, or when, to
capitalize system features when they are not interface terms.>>
Strictly speaking, there are only two good reasons to capitalize something
other than the word at the start of a sentence: it's a proper noun (i.e.,
following the rules of English grammar), or the capitalization reflects what
the reader sees on-screen (i.e., following usability rules). In your example
("one of the two Lookup features"), neither criterion applies, thus the
capitalization is unnecessary.
