I agree with Dan. I've been voting for a long time and have lived in many
states, and I don't think I've ever seen a ballot that wasn't confusing to
some degree in some area or another. IMO, when you go into the ballot booth
to exercise your rights, you also assume the responsibility for whatever you
do in there. If you don't understand, you should ask. If you think you've
made a mistake, I'm sure you can take your ballot to the officials and have
it destroyed and then get another.

The ballots were probably confusing, most are, but everyone used the same
ones in that county, so there was no unfairness or a priori bias in the
process. The really sad part of all this, to me, is that we are getting to a
point in this country where whenever something doesn't work out the way we
want, we rush to litigation rather than take responsibility for our own
actions and learn from them.

Regardless of which guy eventually wins it won't be the end of the world, or
the beginning. Actually, when looking at the make-up of the new Congress,
losing the presidential election might be a blessing.

Of course I predicate this on my personal belief that citizens should take
an IQ test before being allowed to participate in important activities like
voting or getting a drivers license. <g>

providing clear directions that could be followed by someone of average
intelligence? Write very slowly and in large letters so the audience can
follow along. <g> Step-by-step directions in baby-talk, anyone? <vbg>
