Now, a 10 car 750,000 lb subway train being brought up to 55 mph or an 8,000 hp
loco being brought to 150 mph for the first time, that'll put you on edge. How
about walking NYCT subway tunnels with trains still operating?
Or, then again, getting a procedure wrong and having the emergency brakes
suddenly apply? :-(
No matter how complex software gets, some of us can settle for nothing less than
the sights, sounds, feel, and smells of the real thing. ;-)
