FYI,

You can print separations in Publisher and send them to a professional
printer. Many may not accept the electronic files, but if you have a good
laser printer, it won't matter to a good printing house. I've done it for
years, and my newsletters always look professional! I've also used
PageMaker (and Quark, and Print Shop and ....), and have no real preference,
other than the interface is much simpler to use in MS Publisher.

Older versions of MS Publisher may be a downgrade, but MS Publisher 2000 is
one of the few well-designed applications I've seen coming out of Redmond.
I've no vested interest in any of the corporations, it's merely my opinion.

If you want it printed professionally you will have a VERY hard time finding
a company that will accept Publisher files.

Jazz up your newsletter in PM - there's so many options in design that it
should not be a problem.
If you have PM 6.5 Plus it comes with new templates, too.

My final answer: DON'T downgrade to Publisher.

I am trying to give our newsletter a new look. Up until now it has been
created with PageMaker, but I thought I'd try something new just to stir
the water.

Any thoughts?
