TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
It isn't Dreamweaver, it's a shortcoming of the way browsers handle printing.
The two workarounds I recommend to people around here (when they get frustrated enough to listen to me) are:
1. Set up all browser printing to be landscape (almost always works)
2. Don't print from the browser. Instead, open the URL in Acrobat (or in the $79 Acrobat Business Tools for those who don't need the whole Acrobat package), and print the PDF. This is a REALLY REALLY NEAT function of Acrobat that most people don't know about. You just go to File | Open Web Page and type in either the URL or UNC path and click OK. Then you can click on successive links to add new pages to the PDF. You can arrange the pages and the bookmarks in any sensible structure that suits you, and everything fits on the page!
