TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Taking this one step further, I wish there could be a TECHWR-L repository
for style guides. I realize that published, copyrighted ones aren't ever
going to wind up there, but if some company or individual donates a guide to
share with colleagues, we'd all potentially benefit.
Just pipe-dreaming while I should be working....

Subject: Style Guide for Functional/Technical Specifcations
<<Can anyone share with me their style guides (or portions thereof?) or
perhaps a bit of a "real" functional/technical specification?
Unfortunately, I have never really done this sort of thing before, so I want
to make sure that I'm on the right path.>>
