I write...
Gramatically, I would think that the Bill's first sentence is not punctuated
correctly because it is a compound sentence made of two independent clauses
separated by an adverbial connector. (Hope this isn't to gramatically out
there.) I'd have written it (and thought it only to be correct as):
However you choose to use 'however' is a matter of style; however, it is
possible to use 'however' incorrectly...
Is this a rule? Is this style? As Bryan pointed out, what distinguishes the
two?
