There's a big proposal market for B2B eCommerce and Internet infrastructure
providers. They aren't the gargantuan types of proposals one would see with
DOD or aerospace engineering companies, but there are LOTS of them in the
$200K to $2M range. And the vast majority don't have RFPs..they are usually
initiated by someone who knows someone who has a need, and they involve
really doing some research on requirements because many eCommerce startups
don't know what they don't know.

Literary agent Michael Larsen wrote a book called "How to Write a Book
Proposal" that's available through Writer's Digest Books and probably
Amazon, but as Herm said, there aren't that many other reference works out
there.
