imagine being married to a dba and you yourself doing oracle curriculum
development and having to explain what you do to your 84 year old grandma who
doesn't even "get" my play station 2 book which mentions rendering polygons and
she says, "oh there is too much geometry in that book for me." the whole concept
of databases eludes her, and she has a phd in psychology. i suppose though that
having an advanced degree doesn't necessarily mean you are smart and can
understand all topics. my friend anne told me (commenting on some mutual friends
that are both physicians but have no taste), "michele, just because you have
money doesn't mean you have taste!"
