Sean,
I think it has been said before (maybe even by you) in this thread, you have
to assume that the audience has some experience in basics. If you are 40
years old and short, then maybe you always pull a chair or stool to stand on
when you cook. So it would be no different cooking mac and cheese.
I don't believe that the instructions need to cover extraneous tools (such a
stool to stand on) and their use for those who are height challenged. Just
as when writing instructions for a software product, one doesn't generally
include how to turn on the computer.

Should I assume that there are many here who would propose that the Mac and
Cheese cooking directions include moving a chair to the stove to help
shorter chefs? Or, is the answer "it depends"?
