David Berg asked:

>>> Is there any difference legally between listing the copyright date as
"1997,
1998, 1999, 2000" and listing it "1997 - 2000." (for docs that are revised
annually).

Eric Ray replied:

>>> No. See http://www.raycomm.com/techwhirl/lawyer_copyrightnotices.html
on the TECHWR-L site for more information (written
by an intellectual property attorney, incidentally).

Interesting. This discussion relates to copyright law in the U.S. Does
anyone out there know about the law in Canada? If it's different from the
American law, what do you do if you work for a Canadian company that also
has a significant business presence in the U.S.?
