I was struck by this because I used to work for a competitor of Linda's
employer (Spacelabs Medical). My manager there did appoint a new tech writer
as Translation Coordinator. Six months (no foolin!) later she was hired at
twice the money by a little software shop across the street called Microsoft
to be a translation manager.
