I poked around a bit and found a white paper from Aberdeen that discusses
"Application-to-Application Integration" (among other XML topics). The white
paper doesn't seem to be available on Aberdeen's website anymore, and the
graphics are missing from this version, but the information may help you.
I swear, I've learned more about XML in the past three weeks...
