Most web-based discussion forums that I've seen (and one of the better ones
is the one for Office applications at www.wopr.com) are still too kludgy.
Plus, I wouldn't want to be scrolling through messages at 10-20 per page
with a dial-up connection when there are dozens or hundreds of messages a
day or week. The usability for web-based discussions still can't hold a
candle to real threaded discussions, Usenet-style, and I am hugely glad that
Eric has made the effort to host a news server for this group (and others)
as well as do all the work for the mailing list.
