I can understand this. What's the point of telecommuting if you have to
get dressed and leave home? It's relatively cheap to set up a sufficient
home office, with the continuing drops in computer prices, the increasing
availability of broadband Internet connections, and the fact that very
few office supplies are needed. And if a telecommuter *must* leave the
house at all, your local copy/scanning/printing shop will suit most
emergency needs.
It's even better (for full-time employees, anyway) if your employer lets
you choose a laptop as your computer. Big external monitor at work, big
external monitor at home, and you're all set...
Never saw the allure of remote work sites...
