Ensure that your File Exchange is set to recognize .PDF as Acrobat. Go to the Apple menu, select Control Panels > File Exchange. Find the .pdf extension and ensure that it is mapped to your Acrobat program.

Scott

I'm experiencing a weirdness that I hope someone out there can help me
with. I've search the archives, deja news, and Adobe support to no
avail. Someone must have seen this before.

Problem: Windows-created (Acrobat 4.0) PDFs open OK initially on a Mac,
but on subsequent attempts the Mac prompts you to select an application
(though it does suggest Acrobat Reader).

Curiosity: This seems to happen only on PDFs downloaded from Win2000
network. If I transfer a PDF via floppy, it works perfectly.

If you have any suggestions, please respond.

Thanks,

Andy Dugas
