I'm thinking that -individual- development plan is more in tune with what
the corporate folk around here are interested in. Although my employer is
primarily interested in my -individual- development as it applies to my
-professional- life, my manager swears that the company is also interested
in having me be a well-adjusted, well-rounded person and thus a better
employee. I think this is a way to stretch the boundaries of my professional
life and learn about stuff that interests me but isn't directly (or
sometimes even very closely) related to my current job.
