Maggie,

Condolences on loss of search power at work. Can you get to
acronymfinder.com and other pertinent sites? I would wait a week, collect
and document specific instances related to your job when you need to check
facts or styles, then make the request to your manager in a rational,
job-specific, lawyerly way. way. It will give your manager a chance to see
the way you work, so s/he can take your side to present it to the
administrator who grants permits. It's just a case of preparing the ground.
Too bad you have to do it, though.
