I think whoever you spoke to is wrong. My Adobe Acrobat 4.0 for Windows box
lists Windows NT with service pack 3 or later as a supported OS. Plus, I've
used PDFMaker successfully in WinNT. I recommend you call them back.

Acrobat 4.0 is not supported for WinME (Millenium, not Middle Eastern ;?),
maybe that is what they meant?

As for the original issue, after using NT and 2000, I came to the conclusion
that my IT staff had trouble supporting my OS, and my needs, and so
requested and installed Windows 98. If your IT staff is having trouble
managing profiles and permissions in NT/2000, I recommend Win98 as a
reasonable alternative that gives you better control of your working
environment. (I advise you not go to WinME.)
