At 27, I went into Technical writing. That was more than 12 yrs ago. I
took a correspondence course from UC--Berkeley, and later I joined STC. (Now
I'm Senior Member.) I've been trying to develop a freelance business
working off-site. I do a few things as well as technical
writing--cartooning, technical illustration, technical translation (ChtE,
radio, electronics, computers, internet), help development. Before I was
into technical communication, I held several clerical jobs.
I majored in Linguistics in college. I'm severely disabled.
