This is something I'd looked into when moving from QXP to FM. Xpress' tags
are ... Poorly documented at best. The process of converting Xpress tags to
MIF or something else is not an opportunity one should jump at without
carefully looking at the situation. It seems the best way is to go with
something developed by Quark, such as a QXP -> Word -> FM, that way you can
preserve (perhaps) all of the Style sheets. It would need to be carefully
set-up but can be accomplished.

In the end, I found bringing ASCII text into and applying formats to each
paragraph much easier and quicker for our 12 manuals of 200-350 pages.
Hopefully the same is not true for you and you find a much better method.
