I'm not sure about Word or PageMaker, but here's what I suggest:
You could make use of CopyFlow (http://www.napsys.com/cflow.html)
to export all the layout elements at once (rtf/ascii) and then edit in your
preferred editing package. Xpress tags is yet another possibility -- and
it is also possible to reimport Xtag files.
