product spec of some sort, somewhere..."

I am definitely in the realm of documenting "a gleam in a developer's eye."
Three weeks ago, our company president called from who-knows-where and said,
"The company we are talking with needs a software application built in 10
days, and I told him that you can do it." The biggest problem was that the
hardware to run it was not fully tested yet, and was in Korea. So, we
developed the software and sent the software with our head developer to
Korea for testing. In the meantime, I wrote Use Cases for how I thought the
software should run. Then, I had to decide which Help Authoring software
to
choose (I chose RoboHELP), buy the software, learn to use it, and develop a
help file for a hardware product that no one has seen yet. We got the
product out the door yesterday.
