I understand Anne's point about interviewing with HR. My interviews usually have been set up by HR, where I interview with managers, other writers, SMEs, etc. The only real "interviewing" I want to be involved in with HR is negotiating sign-on bonus, options, salary, and benefits. They don't know diddly about what it is I do (even though the job description may be sitting in front of them) and I can't imagine anyone with at least a few years experience would willingly choose to be interviewed by an HR person on their technical specialty.
