It depends on whether or not your screen needs cleaning. ;)

Seriously though, I prefer to simply refer to it in language that the reader
is most likely to understand. If it looks like a dot, then I'd call it a
dot, and most folks would understand what I meant. Perhaps the MS MoS would
have some bizzare name for this object, but that wouldn't change the fact
that it's a dot.
