You know something though? You have to wonder how a complete change to the
interface could take you by surprise. Those things don't happen overnight,
in my experience, and I think you should take this as an opportunity to
analyze whether you were really as plugged in as you thought.
I understand that you've been going to meetings, so how did you miss this?
I'm not blaming you, I'm putting a serious question out there, and one you
should give some thought to, otherwise you can *never* trust that you have
the most current information, or that you're dealing with the right
people.
I get most of my information about stuff like this in hallway meetings,
FWIW.

I must admit, however, that it makes me angry when I've been following
nightly changes to the software and staying up to date with all the small
changes thus required in my files, when all of a sudden there is a
complete
change to the interface and nobody warned me it was coming, even though
I've
religiously attended developer and pubs meetings.
