Hi Jennifer,

If I read you're question correctly, I think you're asking how to have the
bookmarks appear automatically when you open the PDF in Acrobat, not how to
generate them automatically.

In Adobe Acrobat (I'm using 4, other versions may differ slightly), go to
File > Document Info > Open.

The Open Info dialog box provides several options for how the document
appears on open, including whether the bookmarks are displayed.

I hope that was what you were looking for.

I've seen pdf files where the bookmarks automatically appear when you open
the file. How can I get mine to do likewise? To date the customer has to
click on the naviation pane icon to see the bookmarks.
