Hi Ashley,
The easiest way to enter any oddball character is through the use of the
Character Map in Windows. If installed, it's typically located in Start -->
Programs --> Accessories --> Character Map.

Choose the font you want to use and all available characters will be
displayed. When you click on a character, you'll see a code in the bottom,
right corner of the window. It's usually Alt+XXXX, where "XXXX" is four
digits.

In your Framemaker document, place your cursor where you want the character,
hold down the <Alt> key and type the four-digit code using the numeric
keypad on the right side of your keyboard. When you release the <Alt> key,
wala! Fancy new characters! (You might need to make them superscript, if
desired.)

BTW:
Registered = Alt+0174
Copyright = Alt+0169

Good morning,

I have unsuccessfully searched the techwr-l archives, Adobe's website and
hardcopy manuals for how to enter registered and trademark symbols into a FM
document. Can someone help me? I know I am tap dancing all around the
solution and just need a friendly nudge in the right direction. :)

Thanks,
Ashley
