Sounds like a "pinpoint" to me. A red circle that diminishes to a
pinpoint...

My question is: Can anyone suggest a name for the diminishing red circle?
The developer
of the function doesn't have a name for it, and terms such as "highlight",
"target"
and "bullseye" don't seem to quite fit.
