Thanks for your thoughts, Tom.

Given the nature of the task being documented, I can safely assume
that a temporary or new employee brought in from outside the company
will have no prior familiarity with the procedure.

Given that it is a less commonly performed procedure, I would expect
an existing employee would be asked to cover rather than a temporary
employee.

Doesn't mean that a new permanent employee couldn't be given the task
and need all the help she can get right up front.
