Sounds like the definition of the "TOC 2" paragraph style has been changed, either in the document containing the TOC or in the template to which the document is attached...and don't forget Normal.dot, the default template.

To check and modify style definitions:

1. From the Format menu, choose Style; make sure "All styles"
are listed.

2. Select the "TOC 2" paragraph style, check its definition,
and modify it as needed.

3. If you have the template set up to update styles automatically
when the document opens, make sure any style changes you make
are stored in that template, not just in the document itself.
