Actually, GMT has not been the standard since 1972. It's UTC (Universal
Coordinated Time). And yes, there are (believe it or not) time zones in more
than a few places around the world that are on the *half hour* instead of
hour (:30 instead of :00). And you thought it was only parts of Indiana and
Arizona in the US that used their own time standards!
So maybe going with "7pm" or "1900hrs local time" is the best solution there
is, after all.
