So do I. His attitude is that he too worked for the company. It was
incidental that he also owned it.
I know a manager who is highly enlightened. She was given a limited
budget for her departmental raises. She allocated the increase among all
of her staff and did not take anything for herself. She recognizes that
her performance is directly related to how well her staff performs and
she felt her staff was underpaid for what they do. The story ended well
for her. Upon hearing what happened, the president of the company found
additional budget money to be used only for a salary increase for the
manager.
BTW that manager is my daughter, I am very proud of her.
