Hey,

I have what is probably a relatively simple W2K question. There is a
developer here trying to set up a document with a date stamp that's
automatically updated each time the document is opened. I thought it was
fairly straightforward, so I inserted the time state through Insert Date and
Time and chose the date. Well, it didn't take. I changed the computer
date, reopened the document and the date was unchanged. The only way I can
change it is to highlight the code and hit F9. I tried Inserting a Date
Field, but this didn't work either. Again, this only works when
highlighting and hitting F9. I know this feature works in W2K, because I've
had other people test it on their own computers. In fact, I have a document
where the feature works just fine. I've done quite a bit of troubleshooting
on each document, trying to narrow down the differences, but so far it's to
no avail.

Like I said, I'm sure this is fairly straightforward, but right now I can't
see the forest, even though I've moved the trees quite a few times.

Thanks much,

Jason
