Documentalist?

Meg Halter, responding to Elizabeth Hostetter's mention that "As I move into
more of a documentalist role I am also seeing links to information science",
wondered: <<Ummm, what is a documentalist? Never heard the term before.>>

I believe Carolyn Hailey coined this phrase a long ways back, but I could be
wrong. In any event, it was a play on words that combined "documentation"
and "mentalist" and recognized that sometimes extracting information from
SMEs and developers would be easier if we were psychic. See my SIG for
